Fees and Commissions BUYERS: There is no fee for registering or purchasing items through Collector Auctions! You are personally responsible for paying the seller of an item. SELLERS: Collector Auctions does not charge an insertion fee for posting items to our auction pages! Commissions are charged based upon the winning bid if your item successfully sells at auction. No commission is charged for auction items which do not sell. Collector Auctions calculates commissions using aggregate tiering according to the following chart:
Aggregate tiering means that if you sell an item for $1,500 you will be charged 5% commission on the first $25 of the bid price ($25 x 0.05 = $1.25), plus 2.5% commission on the next $975 of the bid price ($975 x 0.025 = $24.38), plus 1.25% commission for the final $500 of the bid price ($500 x 0.0125 = $6.25). Your total commission fee would be $31.88 ($1.25 + $25.38 + $6.25). Upload Image allows you to store the picture of your item on Collector Auction's server. You will be charged $1 for this service whether or not your item sells. If you re-post an unsold item, the upload image fee will be charged a second time. There is no fee for images stored on another server such as your own ISP account. To use images stored elsewhere, skip the Upload Image blank and type the URL addresses for up to two photos per item. Hot Item listings cost an additional $5 which is charged whether or not your item sells. Listing your items as hot items will place them in a special category along with their standard category. If you re-post an unsold item, the hot item fee will be charged a second time. |
